“The Prognosis”

Not a day goes by when I am not burdened by the world’s total disregard of relationship. Even when I believe someone finally understands this revelation… this sensitivity to human connections and truly BEING the love we’re created to extend to one another, I find myself once again sulking and alone on the island. Lord help our people! Save us from our selfish pride and our blatant unwillingness to be accountable to something deeper than the unsatisfying, day-to-day routine that we’re taught to accept. Despite this isolation and my people’s relentless tolerance for casual associations, I still refuse to accept anything superficial. The truth is embedded in me… Life without true relationship is indeed a life without any value.

If we had God’s eyes, we could truly SEE how much internal damage we cause one another through neglect, abuse, mistreatment, abandonment, and disregard. We only cover ourselves, forsaking the very thing we were created to protect, and we actually choose to live in the corridors- rather than take up residency. It is there that we do the most harm, embracing self-medication rather than seeking a thorough examination of the soul. The human heart was not designed to heal itself after breakage— WE WERE DESIGNED TO HEAL EACH OTHER through love and IN relationship. But instead of being the primary caregivers, we continue to inflict “relational malpractice”. And in the end, the only suitable compensation for our pain and suffering is a divine connection…
