Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
If you knew your life had a plan that NO ONE could stop, how would you then live? This was the question asked today. I’m sure that most people would act BODLY in that confidence, knowing that they couldn’t fail. But the Word clearly TELLS us this. The problem is we either don’t believe it or don’t know how to effectively apply it to our lives. God is asking us, “Do you want a life of mediocrity, or one of greatness?” The choice is ours and ours alone. Do we trust God’s plan of greatness for our lives, or do we settle for the enemies “second best”? Now, the message references following God’s direction versus our own flesh, but I believe it also applies to accepting God’s call and assignment that is specific for your life. Are you doing what He told YOU to, building what He revealed to YOU, working on the vision He showed YOU? If not, you’re out of order and you need to go and HANDLE IT.
Pastor Bill Winston said yesterday, “Your FAITH is the ONLY thing stopping the enemy from stopping YOU.” As a matter of fact, for the past few days I’ve been hearing in my spirit and among the people of God the words EXPECT, SUDDENLY, SPEEDILY, URGENTLY, QUICKLY, and REST. As believers, we have to get to a point where we can clearly distinguish between rest and busyness. Rest and being still is not void of action. It just means we’re trusting God to do the work that He promised to do and that only HE can do while we are working on the assignment that He gave US to do. It doesn’t leave us without responsibility… just without the stress and anxiety that comes from trying to do it the world’s way versus in our FAITH. You don’t have to know HOW it’s going to work. Just KNOW that it has ALREADY been worked out in YOUR FAVOR. The real question is, do you BELIEVE God or not?
